Lotus Notes and OV/VM Screencam
Show customers how they can use the Lotus Notes client on their desktop, but instead of
connecting to a Domino server for mail and calendar functions, they can connect to their
OV/VM system. Maybe your customers have already decided to migrate from OV/VM to
Lotus Notes and Domino. Demonstrate a solution that lets them migrate to Notes in small
steps rather than great shocking leaps.
- Benefits:
- Provides state of the art interface for users while retaining the proven and reliable
S/390 servers for mail and calendar functions
- Allows customers to move to Lotus Notes and Domino at their own pace
- Reduces the immediate need for complex coexistence tools like mail and calendar gateways
- Description:
- If your customers still use and love OfficeVision/VM (OV/VM), you can now show them some
great enhancements. You can offer them more advanced functions, like attachments, and
access to work when disconnected from their network.
This demo lets you show customers they can use the Lotus Notes client on their desktop, but
instead of connecting to a Domino server for mail and calendar functions, they can connect to
their existing OV/VM system.
- Demonstration Requirements:
- Use Lotus SmartSuite Millenium Edition for Windows 95, Windows 98, or
Windows NT for best performance. This version launches the Screencam play
er when 50% of the file is loaded.
- Access To Demonstration or More Information:
- To access the Screencam:
1. Select: Lotus Notes and OV/VM Screencam
(17.9MB)
2. Choose to save it to disk (Approximate load time: 45 minutes, depending on the connection
speed) or open it (Approximate load time: 20 minutes)
Note: The demo was recorded using 800x600 screen resolution.
